What are virtual gifts?
Virtual gifts are fun virtual flowers and items you can give to your friends, or other users who you want to be your friend. Virtual gifts allow you to send an attached private message users will receive even when they are on privacy mode.
To send a virtual gift go to the profile of the user you want to send a virtual gift to and click "Give a virtual gift". Have fun giving virtual gifts and maybe you will receive your own virtual gift in return.
Virtual Gift User Status Bonus
The more gifts you receive the higher your Camfrog community status. Receive 1-10 points and you
will be given a yellow 
star.
Popular users with 10-25 points get a blue 
star. A red 
star is
given to users with 25-100 points.
Users with over 100 points get a yellow 
crystal,
then at 250 points a blue 
crystal and if you reach over
500 points a red 
crystal.
Finally if you are so incredibly popular that you have over 750 points you receive a crown
icon! Elite popular users who reach 1,000 points will see a mystery icon we call the Camfrog 
platinum flame.
Virtual Gift Room Status Bonus
The more gifts you receive the higher your room community status just like the user status bonus above. The top 3 rooms in any zone with the most gift points appear at the top of the room list as "most gifted" rooms.
Can Bots receive gifts?
Right click a Bot nickname in the user list to send it a gift. Bots can also receive gifts from users and have a cool user status icon.
Why aren’t virtual gifts free?
At first we wanted to add virtual gifts for free, but after a lot of research we found that most social networking sites who allowed free web-based messages and gifts were filled with horrible amounts of spam and other unwanted messages. To avoid turning Camfrog into a spam network we have decided to charge a small fee for every virtual gift which includes a private message. Charging a fee for virtual gifts keeps Camfrog free of spam and you helps Camfrog fund even more new and fun features for you.
Can I avoid seeing virtual gift icons in my contact list?
Yes. Go to your Camfrog settings then choose "General/Additional" and check the box "Hide virtual gift rating icons" and users virtual gift icons will not appear in your contact lists or chat room user lists.
How long do virtual gifts last?
Virtual gifts and gift points stay on user and or room profiles for 3 months.
