Camfrog Server Config File Info

Please see below for an explanation of what every line does in the Camfrog server config file. Most of these settings are accessible with server settings window that can be easily found by going to the "actions" menu then choosing "settings". In most cases there is no reason to change this config file in any way. There are however a few settings that are not available from the settings window and these settings are highlighted in bold.

ServerPort=1024-65536 - TCP port for the server, default is 6005. Camfrog Server automatically picks an open port so this should not be changed unless it's necessary for some technical reason.

ServerPortRangeLow=1024-65536 - TCP ports range beginning for port probing. The default is 6000. Please do not make changes unless there is some technical reason this is needed.

ServerPortRangeHigh=1024-65536 - TCP ports range ending for port probing. The default is 10000. Please do not make changes unless there is some technical reason this is needed.

ServerPortProbing=on|off - Turn on/off TCP port probing at startup. The default is on. This should only be changed if you make changes to the port ranges above. It is not recommended that you make changes to this unless you have some technical reason.

UdpRangeLow=1024-65536 - UDP ports range beginning. The default is 5000.

UdpRangeHigh=1024-65536 - UDP ports range end. The default is 15000.

MaxConnectionsAcceptable=1-2000 - The maximum number of users you allow to join your room. The default is 2000 for Camfrog Server Pro or 10 for the free version.

NoBotsAllowed=on|off - Do not allow any Camfrog Bots to join your room. Starting from version 3.7 server will still allow bots that are marked as OWNER in the room so you can only allow your bot and block all others. This is off by default.

MOTD=motd - This is the MOTD or "Message of the Day" text that can show your room rules or whatever you want. The default is empty.

MOTDPresent=on|off - This is the MOTD or "Message of the Day" agreement. You can ask your users to agree to a set of rules before they join your room.

NoWebcams=on|off - Do not allow users without webcams. This is off by default.

PasswordText=password - Password protect your room so only users who know the password can join. This is the actual password and this does not turn the setting on or off. Turning the setting on or off is below. This is off by default.

PasswordProtection=on|off - Turn your password protection on or off.

NoSPAM=on|off - Turn the anti-spam filter on/off. This blocks users from typing the same text over and over. After typing the same thing 3 times the user will be kicked from the room. This setting is on by default.

TalkTime=0-120, 0 is unlimited talk time. The talk time is in seconds. The default recommended talk time is 30 seconds.

TeensOnly=on|off - Turn on this setting to only allow users 13-19 in your room. This is off by default.

DefaultBanTime=0, 1, 2, 3, 4 - Default /ban time 0 - 1 hour, 1 - 1 day, 2 - 15 days, 3 - 1 month, 4 - 1 year. The default ban time is 1 month.

PunishExpireTime=60-259200, default punishment expiration time in seconds, default 3600

PreventFlood=on|off - Turn the anti-flood system on/off. This prevents DOS and DDOS attacks on the Camfrog Server software but it cannot stop DOS and DDOS attacks against your actual Windows server. The default is on.

CommandsEnabled=on|off - Turn chat commands like /kick and /ban on/off. These commands are on by default.

BlockMicTime=60-86400, This controls how long the /blockmic command works in seconds. The default is 900. The /blockmic command blocks a user from using the microphone for a set time, or until he exits and rejoins the room.

OwnersSetTopic=on|off - Only allow owners to set room topics with the /topic command. This is off by default.

DisableHyperLinks=on|off - Disable clickable hyperlinks in the chat. This is on by default.

DisableTalk=on|off - Disable microphone use for the chat room. This feature may be popular with deaf users who do not want others talking on microphone. We use this feature in our SignLanguage room. This feature is off by default.

AddownerPassword=password - This is the password for the special owner commands like /addowner (/clearol and /clearbl from server 3.7). When this is empty the /addowner command is disabled. This feature is off by default. We recommend enabling this feature for added security so an owner cannot accidentally clear the ban list or op list.

MaxLineBreaks=3-100 - Maximum line breaks allowed for one message. The default is 10 line breaks. This configuration is useful for stopping annoying people from inputting huge line break spam messages.

LogCommands=0, 1, 2 - 0 - disable logging, 1 - log connections, 2 - log connections and commands. We recommend logging all commands so if you have see an error you can report it to our contact page so we can investigate.
